Healing Skin by altering it’s pH & microbial (Malassezia) profile

Skin conditions such as Psoriasis, Eczema, atopic dermatitis, Dandruff, dry skin, Tinea Versicolor, Rosacea, Seborrhoeic dermatitis, Acne are in many cases thought to be caused by the fungus Malassezia. Few people know this but natural healthy skin has a pH around 4. That is quite acidic and actually a good thing. Acidic pH helps maintain skin integrity and keeps beneficial flora attached to the skin and bad flora such as fungus away.

Supercharge your health by sleeping less – Polyphasic sleep & it’s effects on cortisol

What do Da Vinci, Napolean, Thomas Jefferson, Buckminster Fuller, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison, Winston Churchill, Margret Thatcher plus many other noted great minds have in common? They all adhered to some form of polyphasic sleeping. Polyphasic sleeping is the practice of breaking up sleep into multiple time periods (phases) in order to reduce the total number of hours sleep needed. Napolean Bonaparte was quoted as saying: “Six hours for a man, seven for a woman and [...]

Metabolic cholestatic pruritus

Metabolic cholestatic pruritus For the past year my girlfriend Adelle has been suffering from an unidentified ailment that caused extensive dry skin across the body and intense itching. No amount of moisturizing lotions or good fats in the diet such as coconut, omega 3s, fish oils, borage oil, primrose oil, olive oil, castor oil helped with the dry skin and antihistamines as well as corticosteroids could not relieve the itching. Recently Dr.Dan managed to identify it [...]

How to eliminate Candida & biofilms

Old ways of trying to combat candida often involved a candida diet and a cleanse of some kind. However these strategies have largely proven to be ineffective. The science has evolved so that very specific strategies can now be used as part of a comprehensive plan to eliminate candida. Candida has been blamed for almost every disease under the sun. It is really difficult to establish cause and correlation however, because the human body is incredibly complex and the human Microbiome is even more complex.

Anxiety, Ammonia & the NMDA receptor

Anxiety, Ammonia & the NMDA receptor *Disclaimer: This article is my research in progress and is unfinished . It seems that using Resistant Starch and properly repopulating the gut with appropriate bacteria is the solution.    Excess ammonia production caused by: A  +/- CBS upregulation leads to 10-15x higher ammonia production. (some controversy around this however) SNS dominance leads a higher degree of protein turnover (for energy creation) and production of ammonia. Glutathione depletion leads to higher [...]
